Schooling Facilities
All developed areas of UT Chandigarh have been covered according to norms under the school education facility. Chandigarh has a good network of 112 Government Schools. 7 Government-Aided Schools, 83 Recognized Private Schools and 7 Central Government Schools run by Kendriya Vidyalaya /Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti/ Air Force. Barring a few, all schools are of composite nature covering grades I to X/XII.. Every government school is catering for a large number of students.

Chandigarh U.T. Does not have its own school board of education, therefore, under the administration of Chandigarh, the school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, which is a prestigious national board, curriculum and text books prescribed by NCERT and CBSE are followed. Punjabi Media Books have been purchased from the Punjab School Education Board
